Our department is a collective member of the Russian Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature (RATRLL).
We closely cooperate with the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, A.S. Pushkin, to carry out effective activity of scientific directions,
The department was established in April 2016. The purpose of the department is to ensure the quality of education in the field of the Russian language as a foreign language, allowing foreign students to start their different educational programs,to be evolved in the competitive and modern labor market and to give a positive image of Russia, Russian Language and Culture when they are back to their homeland or when they visit other countries
To achieve this goal, the main emphasis in the learning process is to follow a comprehensive study of the Russian language and culture and the formation of intercultural competence, which is especially important in a multicultural group with specific features of national character and thinking. Compensation of intercultural distance, this formation of readiness gives an important flexibility to the other behavioral models contributes to the development of a strategy of co-creation in the class.
The interactive form of classes and the large number of hours, students spend with the teacher, contributes to the formation of a cohesive and friendly team, to closer communication between students and teachers.
Programs of intercultural direction are realized in the form of training and interactive forms of employment, which confirm their greatest effectiveness for the formation of language skills

Our department takes an active part in various scientific projects and grants. At the moment we participate in the international competition of educational and cultural-educational programs for the Russian summer school "Image of Slavic Thought:
Russia & Bulgaria".

Teachers of the department pay special attention to students' speech culture, business communication, the basics of polemic skill, various types of public speaking, the ability to conduct constructive dialogue, work in the library and reading room, perform various types of written works, including abstracts, course and diploma papers and other Improving their skills, teachers of the department share their work experience, including with teachers from other universities.
Teachers of the department regularly attend courses of advanced training in various universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities. In April 2013, assistant professor Lazarenko L.V passed the refresher course on distance learning in Rostov-on-Don in the South-Russian Federal University and received a diploma on the completion of this course.
